Badstuber suffers setback

FC Bayern Munich defender Holger Badstuber has suffered a setback on the road to recovery from cruciate ligament injury.
The 23-year-old was stretchered off during his side's 1-1 draw with Borussia Dortmund at the beginning of December, but has had to undergo a further operation to remove scar tissue on the troublesome right knee.

The centre-back will follow a specialised ten-day recovery program before continuing his rehabilitation plan as normal. It is not yet known whether Badstuber will be able to make a comeback before the end of the season.

Leverkusen snatch late win

Bayer 04 Leverkusen left it late to turn the tables on VfB Stuttgart and clinch all three points with a 2-1 victory in a dramatic BayArena encounter.
Vedad Ibisevic put the guests in front from the penalty spot early on, but two goals in the last 10 minutes, the first a penalty from Stefan Kießling and the second from Lars Bender, denied Stuttgart at the death.
